Job Description
The University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s Thomas College of Business and Economics invites candidates for a tenure-track position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Marketing. The standard teaching load is 3 courses per semester; in additional, optional opportunities for summer teaching are available. Course delivery will be through face-to-face/on campus and online delivery.

The anticipated hire date is January, 2024, however, if a suitable candidate cannot be found by that date, an August, 2024 may be considered. Review of candidate application packages will begin immediately.

The College of Business and Economics is accredited by the Association for Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

The successful candidate must publish in discipline-appropriate peer reviewed journals to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) status and for tenure and promotion consideration. Beyond scholarship, service to the University/School/Department and the business community is required. Performance will be assessed in terms of teaching, research, and service quality and productivity.

The Thomas College of Business and Economics strives to provide each student an outstanding business education. The School offers the Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing, Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Economics, and Accounting. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is offered in a fully online format using 7-week courses. A face-to-face program will soon be offered with a cohort arrangement.

Pembroke is located off Interstate 95 halfway between Boston and Miami, an area that provides convenient access to the major metro areas of the Carolinas. The campus is within convenient access to the picturesque mountains of western North Carolina and the world-famous beaches and resorts of the Carolina coastline.

Incoming rank is anticipated at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level and depends on the qualifications and achievements of the successful candidate, but will be no higher than the rank currently held at another university.
